FIELD NOTE 001
The Empty Shelf
A library begins with empty shelves.
Every empty shelf carries a quiet promise.
It does not ask to be filled quickly. It asks to be filled carefully.
A collection earns its value not through volume, but through discernment. Each addition should deserve its place and contribute something worth returning to.
I would rather have ten Field Notes that remain relevant years from now than a hundred written simply to make the shelves look full.
